smohter

I thought it was a chick flick.. but it was a more whiny movie than anything.  Diane Keaton will always be Diane Keaton..  and I thought Liv Tyler was pretty good in this movie.. but she wasn’t doing a lot in this movie.  I’m not very familiar with the guy.. but his acting was so – so.  The storyline was darn lame lor.  But if you have nothing to watch.. go for it.. for i’ve seen worst.

What would you do if your mother moved in with you and just wouldn’t leave? When NOAH COOPER, 29, is fired from his job as a therapist, he thinks his day can’t possibly get worse. When he arrives home his already full house gets even crazier when MARILYN, Noah’s overbearing mother arrives with her five dogs in tow needing a place to stay. Comedy ensues as Noah learns to deal with the pressures of finding a job, a wife who desperately wants a baby, and worst of all a mother who won’t quit smothering!

josh

This is a very old show… and it took me a long time to finish the show.  This is a very odd show.. and to see a boy so little and so evil.. it’s scary.  There was no ending to this show.. that’s was what suxs big time.

The movie centers around the lives of Brad Cairn and Abby Cairn, an affluent young stockbroker and his wife, raising children in New York City. Their firstborn, the nine-year-old Joshua (Jacob Kogan) is a frighteningly intelligent child – to such a degree that he thinks and acts decades ahead of his age. Nearly always clad in formal wear and demonstrating limitless brilliance as a pianist – with a marked predilection for “dissonant” classical pieces – Joshua gravitates toward his gay aesthete uncle (Dallas Roberts) as a close friend, but distances himself from his immediate kin – particularly when Abby brings a newborn baby sister home from the hospital and unwisely alienates the young boy. As the days pass, one at a time, the mood at the house regresses from healthy and happy to strange, unsettled and disorienting; meanwhile, bizarre events transpire. As the baby’s whines drive an already strained Abby to the point of a nervous breakdown, Joshua devolves from eccentric to downright sociopathic behavior, discarding all of his toys, disemboweling a stuffed animal, and killing off pets. Eventually, family members also begin to suffer tragic fates – but the question of whether or not they are Joshua’s fevered and psychotic doings or merely the result of happenstance is not answered until the shocking conclusion.

In the last scene where the movie is concluded, it is revealed through a song that Joshua composes impromptu that everything was part of his plan to drive his parents away as he wants to live with his uncle Ned. Everything includes playing wrong notes in the piano, scaring the baby with a torch light at night, stopping his mother’s psychological medications, killing the dog and his Guinea pig, taping himself scaring the baby so that his father gets to see it, killing his grandma, forging drawings characteristic of abuse to drive the psychologists to the wrong conclusions, and deliberately misbehaving in public so that his father loses control and beats him (probably for the first time ever) in public, strengthening his case of abuse.

This must be the lamest movie I’ve ever watched.. and so ridiculous..!! like the school board would ever let any junior school rot this way..!! waste of my time..!!

Geraldine Ferraro Elementary is on the brink of collapse: the lowest test scores in the state, teachers who are either drunk or having sex on school grounds, and a principal who extorts money from parents. It’s up to Tom, the down-on-his-luck vice-principal, to rally the lazy teachers, expose the principal’s corruption, and turn the school around before an end of the day board decision that is certain to lead to its closure.

watch

Not a bad watch actually .. but more a man show .. then a woman.. but definitely donch let your kids watch it.  Muahahha!!  I waited for it to come out on DVD to watch it.

“Watchmen” is set in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society, and the “Doomsday Clock” – which charts the USA’s tension with the Soviet Union – is permanently set at five minutes to midnight. When one of his former colleagues is murdered, the washed up but no less determined masked vigilante Rorschach sets out to uncover a plot to kill and discredit all past and present superheroes. As he reconnects with his former crime-fighting legion – a ragtag group of retired superheroes, only one of whom has true powers – Rorschach glimpses a wide-ranging and disturbing conspiracy with links to their shared past and catastrophic consequences for the future. Their mission is to watch over humanity… but who is watching the Watchmen?”

A very good movie.. definitely a good watch.. and worth every cent.. we paid for it.  go watch it quickly.

Thinking Pulitzer Prize and hoping to bring down a President, D.C. political columnist Rachel Armstrong writes that the President ignored the findings of a covert CIA operative when ordering air strikes against Venezuela. Rachel names the agent, Erica Van Doren, a woman whose young daughter is in Rachel’s son’s class at school. The government moves quickly to force Rachel to name her source. She’s jailed for contempt when she refuses. She won’t change her mind, and the days add up. Chaos descends on Van Doren’s life as well. First Amendment versus national security, marriage and motherhood versus separation. What’s the value of a principle?

Susan Boyle the woman who came in 2nd place for Britain’s Got Talent show a few months ago, can’t handle her fame it seems and feels crushed.  More crushed that she didn’t win .. i guess – that she became ill and was treated in a London Clinic for exhaustion.   But the media wasn’t exactly all nice to her..  because of her dowdy look as well.  I am sure some wouldn’t admit it.. but one never thought that Susan Boyle could be any winner on her first appearance.. before she sang.

conrad

So did Dr Conrad really did what everyone is talking about ..??   The police are not giving out any info at this point of time.  But a search warrant was issued.. and they are looking for possible evidence of manslaughter.  More on it later.

Dozens of police and U.S. federal agents descended on the Houston clinic of Michael Jackson’s doctor Wednesday in what his attorney said was a search for evidence of manslaughter, thrusting the doctor back under suspicion in the King of Pop’s death.

Dr. Conrad Murray was with Jackson in his final moments at the singer’s rented mansion in Los Angeles and accompanied him to the hospital. He has co-operated with investigators and the search was the clearest indication that authorities are looking for signs of possible wrongdoing.

Dr. Conrad Murray’s lawyer, Ed Chernoff, just released a statement about today’s raid at the doc’s office — saying law enforcement officials were searching for evidence of the offense of manslaughter.”

phil

Never judge the books by its cover.. and truth be told.. it can jolly well be true.  You know how the rich is… and looking at Dr Phil’s house.. and all the things .. that was said on tv.. about their family and home.. it is ridiculous.. what they are being sued for – and then the counter – suing.  Waste of everyone’s time . .and more for the lawyers.. instead of just paying the poor couple… what they rightfully deserved.  But almost like everyone.. they have their side of the story too – I guess.

An interior design team who claim Dr. Phil McGraw and his wife Robin breached an oral contract has now upped the ante in their lawsuit.

Deborah Flattery and Brynja McGrady — who sued the McGraws in March — now allege fraud, false advertising and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

The designers, who developed a line of skin care products, claim Robin promised to promote the products on her husband’s show — but never did. They also claim they were never fully paid for their services.

In response, the McGraws counter-sued for fraud — claiming Flattery and McGrady over-charged them for a re-do of the couple’s master suite.

McGraw attorney Frederick Friedman told us, “The McGraws are simply seeking to recover what the decorators actually admit to having received by fraud.”

But the McGrady’s attorney, Stephen Lowe, denies any fraud — telling us his clients are part of an elaborate scheme concocted by the McGraws … one in which the couple doesn’t fully pay their vendors.
