Cooking With Stella
I’m surprised that I didn’t write about this show for I watched it like a month ago. A girlfriend recommended it because she went for the opening in the local theatre here and received all sorts of promotional tote bags from the show – so i heard. I wished I could keep up with stuff like that – love promotional items – don’t you? anything free is good eh. But i especially love tote bags!!! can’t get enough of them – so useful I find them.
Anyhow – the joke about Cooking With Stella is Canada’s answer to Julie and Julia – is just too funny – because the show is NOTHING like Julie and Julia. Nevertheless, it was a pretty good movie – but doesn’t portray India very nicely i must say. Housekeeper/cook of the Canadian High Comm in New Delhi – Stella played by Seema Biswas (relatively unknown) to us, although cooks well – but in my honest opinion steals from her very simple minded or too trusting employers. New posted couple Michael and Maya arrived treating Stella like one of their own but instead Stella ganged up with new nanny – Tannu who needed money – to fake her own kidnapped. I have mixed feelings about the show – because it sure doesn’t teach good values – and i came out of the show – feeling kinda disgusted by how dishonest people can be. So watch it if you must but the moral is just wrong.
Cows On The Couch is a personal blog of mine with my personal opinions. I write and chat about the english and asian movies/tv shows I've watched and gossips in the entertainment world. I provide snippets and sneak peek on the shows not for commercial purpose. I do not download nor upload any movie or tv shows - whatever I put up are found on the internet thru' google search.
