The super villain Megamind finally conquers his nemesis, the hero Metro Man… but finds his life pointless without a hero to fight.   The voices of   Will Ferrell, Brat Pitt, Jonah Hill, Tina Fey, Ben Stiller and David Cross.  Yes! it’s animated and a family movie – I liked it – and so did the kids.  Watch it for a weekend show with the entire family – highly recommended.

Megamind is the most brilliant supervillain the world has ever known. And the least successful. Over the years, he has tried to conquer Metro City in every imaginable way. Each attempt, a colossal failure thanks to the caped superhero known as Metro Man , an invincible hero, until the day Megamind actually kills him in the throes of one of his botched evil plans.

Suddenly, Megamind has no purpose. A supervillain without a superhero. He realizes that achieving his life’s ambition is the worst thing that ever happened to him. Megamind decides that the only way out of his rut is to create a new hero opponent called Titan , who promises to be bigger, better and stronger than Metro Man ever was. Pretty quickly Titan starts to think it’s much more fun to be a villain than a good guy. Except Titan doesn’t just want to rule the world, he wants to destroy it.

Now, Megamind must decide: can he defeat his own diabolical creation? Can the world’s smartest man make the smart decision for once? Can the evil genius become the unlikely hero of his own story?

This March Break – bring your kids to the Discovery center in Halifax for the newest exhibit – PLAY.  The Discovery Centre houses three floors of hands-on exhibits where the emphasis is on informal learning through play and fun. Explore science and technology through exciting and interactive experiences.  Bring the kids and your inner child to the newest exhibit - PLAY.

This exhibit transforms six classic clubhouse games – Foosball, Bowling, Backgammon, Dominoes, Billiards and Die – into giant play pieces so you become part of the game.  In addition to plain, old-fashioned fun, visitors will explore theories of science and art in the dynamics of human interaction.  PLAY will be set up in the first and third floor galleries of Discovery Centre from February to May.  PLAY is supported by BellAlliant.

This movie was surprising a different kind of vampire show – the vampire is a young girl who is about 12 I think.  A young boy befriends the young gal – vampire and later ended up with being her guardian – because her former guardian died in the act of trying to keep her identity a secret.   A pretty good movie I must say – but lots of blood and you get to see the little girl vampire turn into an ugly creature and makes you wonder if there are vampires living amongst us.

If you watched Saw – The Final Chapter – well – you don’t need any suppressing appetite because the show is gross!!!  I couldn’t believed how much blood they had in the movie – and all the cutting of limbs and ears and eye lid and digging into the skin and trying to hang onto your body weight just with those sharp thing – man!!

This show is about the Jigsaw survivors – who gathered to seek support from a fellow survivor Bobby Degan but Bobby Dagen wasn’t a real survivor it seems – and even his poor wife was taken in by his story and self help book.   But the Jigsaw was out to get all of them – and outwitted even the cops in their own police station.  Anyhow, the movie is gross – so if you are trying to not eat or lose some weight – this show may just do it for some – else of course – you look for the real diet pills – or appetite suppressant – but this show did it for me.

I find inspiration in the photos I take and I’ve been taking pictures/photos of just about everything and anything I see.   I have a Canon camera – a small pink one – and it works good for me and I carry it just about everywhere I go.   I’ve heard a lot about the digital slr cameras but I’m not ready to change to one yet – because I’m no professional photographer – nor do I make a living taking pictures.  I would definitely like to get my hands on one – to try it out – maybe if I did – then perhaps I would change my mind on it – after all, I’ve heard good things about the camera.  The SLR cameras cost a bit more than what I usually pay for mine – I paid like $500 for my Canon digital – so unless the digital SLR is way better – I won’t be spending that amount of money anytime soon.  But eventually, I think I just might just because I’m such a snap happy gal.

I love Oprah – in fact I think everyone loves her – who doesn’t right?  especially during Christmas when she gives out gifts to everyone in the audience.  There was once she gave away cars I think for Christmas – if I am not wrong.  But the only thing about Oprah I don’t like is her yo yo diet – one minute you see her so slim and sexy to die for and the next she looks like she had put on weight again.  In one show she would be recommending one diet – like Acai and then in another would be something else she is endorsing – wow!!  really headache to follow – and don’t know which one is true.   Wished she would just stick to the  diets that work for sure and not just for advertisement purposes – because celebrities are actually the people we looked up to – so when they say something works and we see their slim and sexy body – we all follow suit and then the next show – we see her all fat again and we went like – “what the hell!!”  so yes!! i wished she would just recommend one good diet that really works.

I’m trying to get in shape for the summer – because I’ve a few weddings to attend this summer – one in Toronto and another in Moncton – the spouse’s cousin is getting married and I want to look my best.  I read about thermogenic fat burners and am going to check it out and see if it would do the work for me because I’ve been lazy and haven’t been exercising like I should.  But I know the healthy way to do it besides using a good fat burner is to eat right and exercise as well.  But I’m willing to try anything just because I’m vain – and want to look prettier than the bride – hahah! but you can’t blame me for I’m the only Asian around – and Asians are supposed to be tiny!!!  so they said.  So yes!  i’m getting in shape for this summer – and I’ll do anything to put on the little black dress and yes! i want to look like her this summer!

I couldn’t sleep last night and thought of taking some  sleeping pills to help with my sleep – instead the spouse got up with me – and offered to watch a movie with me till I am tired.  So we watched due date that we rented that night – even though he already watched it earlier with the kids – while i did my housework – he was nice enough to want to watch it with me again.   I do like Robert Downey but not the other actor Zack fella – but the movie was hilarious – you really have to watch it – but some parts were really grossed – plus if Peter Highman really lost his ID – all he needed to do is to go to the police station and report the lost and get a temporary one right?  instead of having to drive all the way back to LA with Ethan Tremblay – but of course, then we won’t have the movie.  But it was pretty good the movie – hilarious but that didn’t help with my sleep – hahaha!!  I still ended up taking my sleep pills to help me sleep last night – thank God for those pills.  Check the trailer out yourself.

New show that we came across recently – and started watching Season 1 of it.  Police sketch artist Jim Powell,  scientist Stephanie Powell  and their two high school kids JJ  and Daphne (Kay Panabaker) take a trip down to South America to try and reconnect as a family. Well, things don’t turn out as a planned and a storm brings down their plane in the Amazon River, which has apparently been laced with some mysterious substance that gives the Powell’s super powers. It’s as straightforward an origin story as you’re going to get. The real story here is how the Powells learn to cope with their powers while finding time to be together as a family.  Not a bad family sitcom at all – you should check it out yourself.

The spouse had bought his nephew this game on the PS2 during last Christmas and now – he wants to join a wrestling game/sport.  So he told us all about hemo rage how it was going to help him.  Now he is only 16 and I can understand why he was to look cool but this hemo rage is said to give one intense energy.   A pre-workout supplement is what is it called and the spouse and the cousin is going to look more into it before buying it for him.   We loved that he is taking up a real sport and not just video games – and we want to give him all the positive support he wants and need.
