Being a huge fan of Melissa McCarthy, I thought I would check this show out even though I hadn’t really seen any previews for it. (I don’t watch a lot on CBS) Seriously…it was hilarious. Especially for a Pilot episode when there is usually more back story and introductions than jokes and humor. I laughed out loud many times and found Billy Gardell, who I’m only familiar with from his work on “My Name Is Earl”, to be charming and funny. Swoosie Kurtz and Katy Mixon were also fun characters. There were definitely a lot of “fat jokes” throughout the show, but they were all light hearted and funny. It’s lovely to see a show where the main characters are overweight, and while not hating themselves for it, are trying to get healthy. I hope this show continues to bring the humor and showcase these two great lead actors!

*All info comes from Chong Wai Kin, producer of Laughing Gor previously known as ‘SLS’ (Salute Laughing Sir)* . [CIB = Criminal Investigation Bureau]  The Laughing Gor cast includes Michael Tse who doesn’t look old at all – give me his anti wrinkle creams that work, Fala Chen, Kate Tsui, Bosco Wong, Derek Kwok, Tat Dik and MC Jin.

So is this new series going to be the same as Turning point?  But read that it was going to be totally new but only using the same old character of the old show.   But it had been a few years since Micheal acted on the first tvb drama on Laughing Gor – and yet – instead of looking older – he looked even younger.  The last time I saw him on the tv interview – he did have some wrinkles !  i swear !  but now – he looks like he is in his 20s but he is actually in his 30s.  The shooting for the series is going to start next month – and I can’t wait to see the show – lets see if he really looks younger on screen then.  Apparently MC Jin is also in the new series as one of his student.   Fala also look very young eh – I tell you these actors and actresses must have some kind of miracle wrinkle cream – and I would love to know their secret.

I had to renew my passport because it’s expiring next month – so happily I went to get my passport pictures taken – and it cost me $19 – for two small passport size pictures – and it was the ugliest picture I had taken!   Yes ! expensive and yet – not good looking  and the passport will last me for another 10 yrs.  I guess I could look for some photo printers and re-do my pictures again – afterall I know exactly what size the immigration needed the photo to be and photo printers are not expensive at all.  Plus I can always justify buying the photo printer because I always take pictures and print them out – for friends and family.   So yes!  I think i might just do that!

We’ve had our Wii for about a year now and besides the Wii Fit – we pretty much don’t use the Wii that much – so when I read on the local yard sale about someone asking for a Udraw – I thought it might be an interesting for the kids – since one of them loved to draw.   You’ve gotta admire all these creators for these games – for they must be very creative too – to capture the market of what people would like.  Not your regular  tech jobs but can be very interesting I must say.  The oldest told me they want a tech job to design games when they are older – a game developer maybe – or a game designer?  I don’t really know what they are called – but if they were playing with games these much – and this generation as well as the future generations – then I see a good future in doing it.  No one can do without the computer nor gaming console – even the youngest kid – know all about gaming.

So you are getting married soon – and wonder how many bridesmaid is the right number?  So really ?  how many bridesmaid for the wedding?  Should you invite all your girlfriends?  or your childhood friend? or your spouse’s sisters?  what about your cousins?  will they be upset if they are not part of the entourage?  In my humble opinion – whatever makes the bride happy – don’t even think of making other people happy – as long as the bride is ok with it – go with it.  The most important thing is that the bride needs to be ok with it.   Good luck to those getting married this year.

Firstly, I have to tell you that I only saw this camera/printer in the tv show Californication and was quite fascinated by it – since we have kids in the house that loves taking pictures.  I figured if it wasn’t so expensive and the quality was somewhat good – I would buy it for them – but alas – they go for $199 + shipping from Amazon and also we have to buy the prints separately.

Now I don’t really mind paying for it – if the printed pictures were somewhat good – but I read up a bit about it – and so far – the quality isn’t that fantastic – so I would just skipped for now.  I didn’t really know tht Polaroid was still around and it is good to know though.

A bit too bulky for my liking but they have to have it big enough to carry 10 sheets of printer paper right?
