Cows On the Couch

Nope not selling boots – can you guess what they were selling?  I saw these on Etsy – and thought what a good idea this would be for my kid – because she loves her rain boots so much and she would definitely wear it  all the time if she could and because her socks always fall off or gets lost in her boots – what better way to keep those cute feet warm and dry right?  but I also wonder do I need to get her a bigger boots because of the fleece liner?  The liner does not come cheap either – they are $22 a pair – and I took a look at how it was made – and it’s not that difficult either – so I can’t justify paying $22 a pair for them – I guess I just have to ask her grandmother to do some for her.

So I hear that Lindsay Lohan will probably be on house arrest for a long time in the near future – surprise ! surprise!  NOT!  And also doing a short film – titled Lindsay Lohan – a 90 minutes film apparently but the above photo from Fame Pictures shows Lindsay in a pretty voluptuous manner – that makes me think she probably needs the best fat burners if she wants people to watch the film eh.   She is not fat – but definitely chunky in my opinion  but I guess all the house arrest and not being able to party like she used to – well – it will do that to one’s body eh.   The film was shot in Malibu I read – but I’m so not looking forward to seeing fat Lindsay that’s for sure while some of my friends think that Lindsay Lohan is putting on weight because of not being able to do all her drinks and drugs.

Every women loves lovely things and I’m no different – I found a treasure for a gift for myself and friend on Etsy – this Blueberry Pomegranate Sugar is looks so good – i could eat it – but alas – they are sugar cube body scrub. I really think it will make for a good housewarming gift – and even just as a gift to any host of the house – that you are visiting.

This is a exfoliating scrub  – and since they are in cubes  – they are definitely easy to use – a cube a bath perhaps?  In the cubes are cocoa butter, avocado and olive oil – all the good stuff for our skin and pure can sugar to polish away your dead skin.  Plus not to worry that it will leave your tub or shower oily  because it is said to rinse clean.  Great for traveling too – just pop the cubes into your ziplock bags and you are ready to travel.   I love the color of these blueberry and pomegranate cube – so happy looking.   Crush the cubes to use it and scrub your body with it – awesome!  only at $9 – great gift or use it yourself.

My longest friend all the way from my college years is getting married at last – and we never thought she would.  Not because she wasn’t good looking but more so – she was looking for the “right” man – she wasn’t going to settle like most of us – she said in a kind way.  And I was chosen by my group of friends to throw her a bachelorette party and I was honored – I was going to throw her a party that she will never forget – after all, I’m not known as a “party queen” during college for nothing.  I had everything though of – even the invitation card would be perfect – funny and slutty and we were going to invite our dearest friends from college and most already agreed to come even those not living in town no more.  Since I had so many invitation and thank you cards to print – I chose printdirectforless postcard printing for my printing partner – less money spent on printing means more money for booze and maybe a strip tease show for the bride to be.

As for the location, we’ve chosen a club of another friend – that way – it can be kinda semi-private but not too prim and proper.   We know of some gags we were going to use on the bride but definitely no toilet paper bridal gown – so old school.   I’m very excited about the party and can wait to see the bride’s face when she sees what is in store for her.

Diehard fans of KillZone 3 will be pleased to know that you can find the Helghast Edition locally in Canada now – I just saw one in our local gaming store. I know of some gamers who were eyeing on this set for a long time now – there is an art book and also the action figure included in this package and of course its game.   But for some people who’ve ordered it in advance there is sad to be a bonus included in this set which unlocks the multiplayer and a 3 weapon points with an ability to level up quicker than the normal game.  The entire set goes for $69 + taxes – not bad at all.

I’m not a great fan of handmade things – until I saw a friend bought this leather tote from Etsy.  Genuine leather was used in this bag and they are hand sewn – stitch by stitch as you can see here.  It was a little more expensive than what I usually would have paid for a tote – but I guess I can understand why she like it – it really was a unique pattern bag.  So if you are into hand made stuff or support the artistic folks there – do check the leather tote out.

I was reading up on panic/anxiety attacks and found that I am not the only one suffering from it – even Donny Osmond had panic attacks once upon a time and was able to overcome it.  I too started my panic attacks only after having kids – and I know that one can get help from anxiety drug treatment centers for such illness.  A lot of celebrities also have panic/anxiety disorder – so I am not alone and I don’t feel like I am a freak now – I used to.   I grew up watching the Donny & Maria shows in the 70s and never would I have thought that Donny Osmond had the same problem – after all, they siblings looked like they were from the perfect family and all – but I guess during those days – you don’t go openly tell people about it.  Lucky for me, in this time and age – people don’t think you are going crazy just because you have a panic attack – and there is help – from seeing a psychologist and taking medication – both which I am doing right now – to a treatment center that specializes in cases like that.  I’m just glad that I seek treatment too – else I think my family would have suffered a long with me.

Our local yard sale had a trailer for sale and the spouse and I went to take a look at it – for we had always want to go on a road trip around Canada.  Now that the kids are much older and they are going to summer camp this year – we thought maybe, us old farts can get the trailer and go on the road trip on our own.   this trailer that we are looking at to buy was a 1990 10″  Jayco Deluxe and sleeps six and has an indoor plus and outdoor stove and fridge and a king size bed, one queen and a fold table.  For the amount they were asking it wasn’t a bad price at all.  So we looked into the 5th wheel warranty before heading out to Saulnierville – to try and negotiate the price – can’t wait for summer to come – but of course, we want to be safe and make sure that we won’t get into trouble should anything happens during our trip.

So it’s the end of Desperate Housewives Season 7 today  and they had 2 episodes on Sunday – I really enjoyed it – for I spent my whole evening watching it – while the kids and their dad played games on the PS3.  It was a sad ending for the finale tonight – Lynette and husband Tom decided to separate after having 5 kids and why the change of heart?  all because Tom now have a more powerful job and makes more money ? or was it because Lynette wasn’t happy for him enough? it’s sad – I’ve always liked Tom.  And Gabrielle had to face her rapist – her stepfather who came looking for her after so many years – she thought he was dead.  How dare that freak right?  Not really a happy ending if you asked me – but that only means more season for Desperate Housewives.

For those who’ve just bought the Wii fit to keep fit – let me tell you this – go buy some  rechargeable batteries and don’t be like me – and use regular ones – cause you are going to be broke really soon.  The Wii fit uses a lot of batteries it seems – well mine does.  So I finally gave in and bought some rechargeable ones and I never have to worry no more about exercising halfway and can’t go out to get batteries because it is late at night.   So remember folks – buy some rechargeable batteries together with your Wii fit and you will be all set.
