I’m sure this scene is pretty familiar with everyone – now, now don’t deny it – it’s pretty common with my kids – they are either sitting in front of the computer while eating or the tv – we rarely have a meal together all because we don’t have a tv in the dining room.    So what do we do ?  we bought a tv bracket and mounted a tv in the dining room – so that we can all  have dinner together everyday – no excuse.   Some of you might wag your fingers at us – but if we can get the kids to use the dining room during eating times – especially when they have friends over – it was the best investment we ever made.  So if you have kids like mine – consider seriously about getting a tv bracket and mount your tv onto the wall – so that they will eat together with you.

I just saw Sucker Punch yesterday for like 30 minutes and if the movie continues to be the way it was – i was really unprepared that’s for sure!  it was truly – I don’t know what to think about it. So unrealistic and so far fetched – about a young 20 yrs old who ran away from her step father right after her mother died because he tried to rape her sister.  Then she tried to stop him – but failed to kill him instead – she was sent to a mental hospital which turned out to be a brothel – full of orphanage.   A lot of singing and dancing – and I don’t really know what to make out of it.  So if you are prepared for melodrama – go right ahead and watch it.

Every Asian in Canada that I know wants to look like Lucy Liu – I don’t blame them and just yesterday – a friend’s daughter asked me – how can see have radiant skin like Lucy Liu.  I looked at her and told her to get some dead sea salts and use them every evening  when she takes a bath for her skin does look rally dull.  Dead sea salts are not only good for radiant skin – they are good for Eczema too.  Dead sea salts are said to have the purest essential oils in them and they have high concentration of mineral and great for the skin.   So how do one use it ?  dissolve a cup of the salt in your bath and soak for 15 mins everyday – so I read – and see if it makes a difference.  If I had dull skin – I would try the dead sea salts too – they are not expensive and you can use it in the privacy of your home.  I think I might just order some and try them myself – even though I don’t have dull skin – it sure doesn’t hurt to make myself look prettier eh.

Anything that Anthony Hopkins is in – has gotta be a good movie right? and he didn’t disappoint either.  He sure acted his part very well.   Anthony Hopkins is Father Lucas – who practices exorcism outside the church – in a little village.  While Colin Donoghue is Michael Kovac who went into bible school because he needed free college funds and the church provided that if you become a Father/priest.  While Michael wasn’t truly convinced that there is such a thing as possession of the evil spirit – but more a psychiatric problem, he was then sent to Father Lucas to see him work with people whom are possessed.  At the end of the show – it still left me thinking if the possession of Father Lucas was real.

Summer is here and the spouse went shopping with the kids for a some  Nikon binoculars to go bird watching with them when he is home from work.  You see the youngest son – he loves nature and everything outdoors and he spends lots of time with his grandfather and uncles.  Every year – we say he is too young to get his own binoculars – but this year – the spouse said that he should get his own.  My youngest was really happy and proud that his father thinks that he is responsible enough to get his own binoculars – he even have a drawer space to store the new binoculars.  They are buying a Nikon one – because the spouse and his father  all has the Nikon brand of binoculars.   I think the bonding is great – so I agree to pay half for the binoculars for I encourage the spending time together with father and grandfather.  I’m so proud of all of them – for taking  time to spend time with the youngest.

Seeing that Hilary Swank was in this movie – I rented it – to watch it and was not disappointed.   Jeffrey Morgan who was in Supernatural as the father of Dean and Sam is pretty handsome right?  so gotta watch.  Hilary plays a doctor – who recently broke off with her boyfriend.  Found an old apartment to live in – at a very good price for rent – $3600 I think – pretty hefty to me – if you asked me.  Little did she know that the landlord is crazy and was watching her every move – even when she was bathing.   In the end, she found out that she was raped repeatedly in her sleep – and did she escape?  watch it – ! good movie for sure.

Everytime I walk by our local electronic store – I have to stop and see what new gadgets they have – and I know that I get so intrigue by everything they carry and always end up wanting something new.  Take for example the  new black berry tablet – I watch the video below for it and when I saw it at the store for demo – I fell in love with it.  It is smaller than the iPad that my girlfriends have that I can carry it anywhere I want with me.  In fact, I told the spouse – having the blackberry playbook means that I don’t have to carry my laptop with me when I go on vacations – because I can surf the web and take pictures with it – and even do web-conferencing as well.   Of course, I can email too – and it acts as an address book and an organizer.  Gone are those days where the Palm was the latest thing – I cannot imagine that I would have paid close to $700 for the palm and the playbook is way less money with more capabilities.  Check out the you tube video yourself and you will agree with me.

Vince Vaughn and Kevin James from King of Queens and Mall Cop  – plays the overly ambitious techie of a auto design company.  Vince and Kevin are good friends – and Vince found out that Kevin’s wife Winona Ryder is cheating on him.  Queen Latifah plays a small part in this show – so did Vince tell Kevin?  would you?  and ruin your career and friendship? or wait for your best friend to be hurt?

I’ve always wanted a steamer for my clothes and its wrinkles – but I’m too el cheapo to spend so much money – so when I saw this on sale for only $29 – you can go too wrong with it right?  This little steamer heats up within 2 – 3 mins max and sends out 850 watts of steam – but wait – it only works for 14 mins and you only need to use tap water.  But 14 minutes seems a little short for steaming your clothes?  what if you have lots of clothes to get wrinkles out of?  darn !!   As much as I want to get this – I’m worried I’m not going to get much done – but if you need a quick run over to get rid of just one dress or blouse – well – here is the thing for you.
