We were invited to my cousin’s son – Logan’s first communion at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Shad Bay last week.  It was a wonderful ceremony.  Family and friends filled the church to witness this event and special day for kid’s special day.  We bought a miraculous medal as a gift for Logan and it quite teary to see how all the kids had grown so much.  We all headed for lunch after the ceremony in a Mexican restaurant and everyone was delighted to see the miraculous medal that we had bought for Logan and wanted to know where they can get one too – as gift for their friends and family in the future.   When I was a kid – the parish that we go to – used to have a little store for all the different medals that one can buy – but not here – therefore, it was great to be able to get a special medal for my cousin’s son.  My mom used to make us wear the medal of St Christopher all the time – because St Christopher took care of all the little children.  I bought one for each of my kids too when they were younger.
