I just saw this year’s VMA – and was shocked that the “man” telling jokes on stage was actually Lady Gaga – hahah! did you like her dressed up like a man?  it was pretty good though – don’t you think so – she was also talking a lot about Britney Spears – wonder if she had a lesbian crush on her when she was young – hahah!

In 2010 – Gaga dressed up with raw meat all over her – and we too were surprised by her act – but I guess she must outdo herself this year too right – and she did – it was a pretty good drag show alright.

So we’ve all read about veteran actor Doug Hutchinson who is 51 yrs old marrying a 16 yrs old and an amateur country singer – who claimed that they were up all night doing it   – hahah!  and that Doug is the one picking after her and cooking for her – like he was the wife instead – NICE!   I bet Dougie don’t like to be referred as the wife – would you?   Anyhow, Doug Hutchinson who appeared in Lost – the famous tv series filmed in Hawaii claimed that they were really in love and that age shouldn’t matter – OOOOOOOOK!

I’ve gotta say that Courtney Stodden who claimed to be a virgin before the wedding is a very pretty little thing – now what is she doing with a 51 yrs old – now that’s a wonder right?  A 35 yrs difference – that is definitely a lot for a 16 yrs old isn’t it?  but Hutchinson has got some money and some fame – so I can see the attraction and he doesn’t look like he is 51 either – so good luck to both of them – who has a reality show coming up.

As part of an ongoing charity work that I do – I bring movies for the seniors at their residence and I also contact hairdressers to see if they have time to visit them and give them a hair cut.  Most of these seniors actually lived on their retirement funds and some of them have taken up  life insurance for seniors so that should anything happen to them, they don’t have to burden their loved ones. Most of these seniors in the homes are actually very intellectual folks who planned way ahead of their time.  And even though older folks have a harder time getting insurance – it’s better late than never.  So whenever I bring movies each week for their movie day – I hear all about what they planned before settling into the homes – and I learn a thing or two from them.  It’s amazing how these old folks appreciates the little we do for them – but they had already taken care of the most important things themselves – so I do admire that in them.

The movie was definitely hilarious – not just a chick flick mind you – even the spouse liked it and had a few chuckle that night.  I don’t recognized anyone except for that huge girl – Melissa McCarthy from Gilmore Girls – oh my! she was hilarious too.!   The english room mates of Annie (Kristen Wiig) is really strange and grossed – I don’t know how she lived with them for that long.  Of course, the poop in the wedding dress thingie on the road – now that was another grossed thing – and the pooping in the sink – mannnn!!!  it was horrid – yet we found it kinda crude and hilarious.   Gotta see it to enjoy it – it was really classic, crude and comical.

Shopping and Saving is what I do best – especially since coming to Canada – and I only buy things when they are on sale.  What about you all ?  I’m sure you wouldn’t mind saving some money – and with this economy every penny saved is a good thing.  So when I saw sears coupons online – I just had to go grabbed it and go look for my air purifier that I had planned to buy for my kid’s classroom.

You see the kid is on puffer now and with an air purifier – it can eliminate germs that is airborne and clean the air – for they are usually stuck in the classroom for hours.  Kids get sick often and if we can zapped the virus and germs for a few hundred dollars – it would be money well spent6 – and if I can get a coupon for it even better.  I don’t like buying things at full price – love the discount and love the savings.

At first I too didn’t know what this thing was all about – until I saw the video.  Great gadget to have if you have kids who loved to play with the fridge.  This carton box of milk will chat with you when you open the fridge – of course, it starts out friendly and then when you keep the fridge door open too long or keeps opening it – then it would start getting a wee bit more unfriendly.  You can even stop someone from eating the last piece of cake that you have been saving all day for that movie.   It’s pretty cute and a novelty as you all can see in the video below.  But for $30 – great present for Christmas and looks like we are in luck – because the English version just came out.  Buy from Bento & Co online and shipping is like $5.50.

I love golfing – and even though people think it is not a form of exercise – I beg to differ – it’s quite an exercise after you’ve gone for your morning golfing session.  And with golfers they are so easy to buy presents for – because you can find novelty golf gifts online and order it for them and they just get the joke – and they loved any golf gifts that you get for them.  Plus, they say that if you have friends who don’t play well at golf – and they turn nasty – the best thing to get them are novelty gifts – so that they know how you feel.  Lucky for me – all my golf friends are pretty awesome to play with.  I loved the custom golf balls I got my friends one year during Christmas – so if you are a golfer – give me a shout and i’ll tell you where you can get gifts for your golfing friends.

I love attending baby showers and one thing I vowed I would never do is to buy random gifts for people – I only buy them what they need.  Just like my girlfriend who had twins earlier  this year – a few of us had gotten together to get her a  Mountain Buggy Duet instead of diapers and random clothing for babies – because we knew she loved to take walks and because we wanted something not girly as we wanted to encourage her spouse to take the babies for walks too – so that the mummy can take naps while daddy bonds with the twins.  Some gifts are more expensive than others – therefore, you could gather some girlfriends or friends and get them to chip in and buy a useful gift.  A good stroller is so good for both dad and mum because mom needs the exercise and dad needs to look after babies while mum can do stuff she likes and what better way than to give the babies some fresh air.   Plus I loved shopping for useful stuff!

Found a gem in the city – and wanted to tell everyone about it – it’s called the Clay Cafe – lovely place for kids and adults especially those who wants to bond with their kids.  Mine loved to paint – but unfortunately, I had to wait for 4 days before I can pick up my to be awesome work by my kid – she picked an ice cream to paint – so we are going back another day.  Clay cafe can be found at Quinpool Road in Halifax.  Check it out – I’m going back to do some painting with my kid soon.
