Having boys at home are fun – they love any sort of cars or trucks – and my boy can name you the make of the car – when he was only 5 yrs old.   And though he is no longer 5 years old – I thought I should share this with you.   Shaking these racing cars will light them up and it comes with a themed decal to make your racing car yours and personalized.

We were out looking for some new  business desktops for the spouse’s office – but he told me – he was looking for a tower that is not bulky because that’s what his sales people wants.  There are just too much to choose from these days but I know we can find HPs, Acers and of course the Emachines from our local store in the mall – now to look for the slimiest one – and the most affordable one.

I warned the spouse that the slimiest one may not have all the necessary hardware for the office – unless he was willing to pay the price for it.  So let me ask everyone – can you get the tiniest desktop and get all the necessary you need to make it work in your office?  I checked with the people at the store and they recommended a few slimline desktop – at the price one cannot refused – less than $500 ! And since the spouse’s office is small – I guess this will be quite the buy.  Plays video, has a TB on the HD – so yes! we support our local business as Canadians.

A little too early – I hear you saying?  nah – !  really not if you have so many kids to buy for – not only yours but the extended family.  You want to get them something substantial and not any lame gift right?  for you want to be their favorite aunt or uncle who is so darn cool!   So I check the ipod nano price every now and then to see when their prices are the best – and then I will get for everyone before Christmas – that way -  I know I have something good for them.   You can’t just buy for one niece and not the other – the same for nephews – so I really need to shop smart – and get the best price when I do my Christmas shopping.  And in my experience, the earlier you check out the prices and watch it – the better the chances of getting all of them at the right price you want to pay for.

Love the color and the flower of this Hello Kitty wallet – going for like $52 USD but it’s made in China – out of synthetic leather – so that makes me a little yeeky about it – if this was made in Japan – then it would definitely be different.  You can’t blame me for wanting quality stuff right?

I’m starting my christmas shopping list this week and am planning to finish buying everything by the end of November and as for the overseas friends and family – everything needs to be mailed out by end of November at the latest.  This year I promised myself that I won’t be late with my Christmas gifts and cards but what’s hot this christmas I’m still checking it out.  From gadgets to toys and to electronics – i already have a list.  But I need to get some clothing, shoes and also skin care items for some good friends.  As for the spouse I think i would get him the iPad 2 this year – since I got him the iphone touch last year and a kindle that he likes so much.  Now if only I could get that Kindle Fire in Canada – now that would be perfect – because it’s cheaper and I can get this for the nephews and nieces and of course my oldest.  What’s on your shopping list this year – I hope you too start planning now and not wait till last minute like I do every year.

And since I’m buying the spouse an iPad 2 for Christmas – I figured I should get him this Wallet for iPad 2 from owl.  It holds just about everything a man or woman needs to carry when they are out for business or for a cup of coffee at Starbucks.

Very roomy as you can see here and at $79.99 – ships almost immediately – I’m ordering mine now – so that I don’t have to rush with others for Christmas season.  I know my spouse deserved something nice for being the bread winner in our family and an awesome dad to my kids.

I was just reading some gossip page today and came across Meg Ryan’s  Bel Air home and found that she had that for rent by owner sign for her Bel Air Home for $40K/month!  wow!!! isn’t that something !! of course, I was curious and wanted to see what kind of home she had for rent for that amount of money.  Ordinarily, we probably pay like $2K a month for our home and it would be a really big and nice house.  But of course, we are talking about Meg Ryan here – and well, after a look at her Bel Air home, I can understand why she was asking for so much in 2010.

This is the kitchen – and it’s definitely one of my dream kitchen  – I also found out that her Bel Air home was listed for like $14.2 million – darn rich right?   She has a Spanish style estate and this place was built in 1931.  Ocean view and it’s like a resort and has lots of privacy – but not any ordinary person or family will be able to afford something like this home right?

It even has a pool bigger than the pools we have in the hotels around here – so that probably explains the price.  But normally, rent by owner are usually better prices for vacation and even for a permanent stay – because they don’t have to pay an agent for listing their home.  We’ve rented a vacation home before in United States when we were up in DisneyLand in Florida, we had the whole family with us – therefore, it was definitely more cost effective.  As for Meg Ryan’s home – I probably won’t be able to afford this anytime soon.

If Jeff Dunham ever come to Canada – anytime soon – preferably in Halifax – I would be the first to get tickets and be there even if I was sick.  His shows are so hilarious ! OMG !  if you haven’t watched this – you have to – in fact this is all new because 2 new puppets are added in this show.   A check on the event for Jeff Dunham and yes – he will be in Halifax in January but it is in the middle of winter then and for us to drive up to Halifax if the weather was bad – it’s just not worth the risk to buy the tickets now.  Why ?  because the tickets isn’t cheap at all – the cheapest I’ve seen are going for $75 and the seats are not good at all.  So I guess I’ll just have to continue watching him on DVD for $3 a night.  But yes, coming back to controlled chaos  – please rent it and watch – it’s very funny.  ” I’ll kill you!”

Lots of people that I know from this area had headed up to the city for the Canada got Talent show 2012, I know of some who is going to sit overnight at the designated spot so that they get in for an audition.   Some are very talented and have day time jobs but they want to be famous perhaps?   Many a times, I hear people tell the spouse how they wished they had his job or is their own boss but what they don’t know is that merchant financing is available for the right people.

And although they may not have singing talents or can do tap dancing or ballet – they certainly can try their hands on doing the next best thing – opening a music store? or even teaching people how to sing or tap dance or play the piano.   And many of these people who I know personally can definitely be more enterprising because there are small business loans that one can look into.  Unfortunately, a lot of people still continue to persue their dreams but refuses to be more creative.

So once in a while when I meet someone who has dreams enough to go all the way up to the city for an audition, I would definitely tell then about these small business loans they can look into.  But not everyone is the entrepreneurs they hope they would be – but it never hurts to try – especially when you are young and don’t have any liability.  If i could turn the clock back and I had options like a small business loan – I would definitely want to try.
