Smallville Season 9 just started today.. and although i used to like Smallville for the romantic.. and the courageous act that Clark Kent seems to be so good at… this season started really, really dark.  So dark and so futuristic.. it almost seems impossible to grasp.  Have you watched Smallville Season 9 yet..??

General Zod

Callum Blue will be a new series regular, he will play Zod.

Brian Austin Green has been cast as kryptonite villain, Metallo for at least two episodes.

John Corben will be working at the Daily Planet, a field journalist, who steps into the shoes of a missing-in-action Clark Kent. Soon after mild-mannered reporter John Corben begins his “Daily Planet” gig, his fate takes a horrific twist that will change his destiny forever.

Clark Kent

The iconic “S” symbol will be all over the show in season 9. Including on Clark’s chest.

Clark takes a new approach to fighting crime in Metropolis.

Green Arrow

A portion of season 9 will be about Oliver confronting his demons. He is going to struggle with the things he has been afforded as a result of his powers,He has sacrificed things and done things that haunt him… It’s bad stuff. We need to get to the bottom of it.

Oliver’s going to start drinking again.

Oliver will be more and more fed up with the whole superhero thing and on a downward spiral. He may be revisiting the Lois romance.

Love Triangle

With the Clark, Lana, Lex triangle in the past, Clark, Lois and Oliver will be season 9’s love triangle.

Watchtower

They’re also tearing down the Isis Foundation set for the Justice League Watchtower set

Alia

A beautiful, sexy femme fatale assassin with mysteriously intimate ties to Clark and Krypton.

Cassidy Freeman’s stunt double, Monique Ganderton, has been cast in the role.

Fiona

Another female soldier who is described as “sexy and hot” is “Fiona.” She wears a faded military jacket and turns against her leader. Together with another soldier named “Basqat” she imprisons her leader.

Doomsday will return this season, but not Davis Bloome.

Mild-mannered reporter John Corben suffers an accident, then a procedure, which transforms him into a cybornetic organism, a cyborg. In the comics, his robotic body, is powered by a green kryptonite heart. If the same holds true, then he may be after the kryptonian orb, from which he could draw unlimited power to sustain himself. Thereby getting powers like Clark.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Actor Patrick Swayze, who went from Broadway dancer to Hollywood star in box-office hits like “Dirty Dancing” and “Ghost,” died on Monday after a two year battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 57.

Swayze died at home with his family at his side, his publicist said.

He became a pop culture icon with 1987’s “Dirty Dancing,” which defied Hollywood expectations to become one of the most-watched movies of all time.

Swayze played the swaggering dance instructor Johnny Castle in the film opposite Jennifer Grey’s sheltered teenager Frances “Baby” Houseman, who becomes smitten with him while on vacation at a New York resort during the 1960s.

Swayze was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, one of the most deadly forms of the disease, in January 2008. He said at the time that the cancer had already spread to his liver.

But the actor and former dancer vowed to fight the disease and had treatment with an experimental drug. He then surprised Hollywood by filming a new detective series for television called “The Beast” in which he played the grueling lead role. The series was broadcast earlier this year.

“Dirty Dancing,” which was made for a modest budget and almost scrapped by its studio, became a massive box-office hit, earning Golden Globe nominations for both stars and spawning the Oscar-winning hit single “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life.”

Producers did not have high hopes for the film but it reaped $64 million at the U.S. box office and $214 million worldwide.

Swayze co-wrote and performed the song “She’s Like the Wind” for the movie’s soundtrack, which went to No. 3 on the pop music charts. The film remained widely popular more than two decades later and recently spawned a stage musical version.

‘GHOST’

In 1990 “Ghost” was an even bigger hit than “Dirty Dancing” with a domestic box office take of more than $217 million and $505 million around the world.

Swayze starred as Demi Moore’s deceased lover, Sam, in the tear-jerker romance, which was nominated for a best film Academy Award.

Whoopi Goldberg won an Oscar for her supporting role as a spiritual medium who helps Sam communicate with his girlfriend from beyond the grave. Goldberg said it was Swayze who convinced director Jerry Zucker to cast her.

Swayze was born in Houston on August 18, 1952, and was introduced to performing early. His father was a champion rodeo cowboy and his mother owned a ballet studio.

Swayze trained in dance from a young age and performed for New York City ballet companies before moving to Broadway.

His portrayal of Danny Zuko on Broadway in “Grease” caught the attention of Hollywood and he moved to the West Coast in the late 1970s, appearing in small TV and film parts.

His breakout roles came in 1983’s boyhood drama “The Outsiders” and 1984’s “Red Dawn” in which he and future “Dirty Dancing” co-star Grey played teenagers fighting invading Russians.

After “Dirty Dancing” and “Ghost,” Swayze suffered several career setbacks, including a battle with alcohol.

Attributing some of his problems with drinking to his sudden fame and the Hollywood lifestyle, he moved back to Texas with wife Lisa Niemi but worked in such films as “The Green Dragon” and “Donnie Darko,” both in 2001.

So i hear Hayden Panettiere from Heroes is dating Lindsay Lohan’s ex.  Harry Morton is a millionaire too..!!  Rumor has it that they were seen walking hand in hand in Miami beach.  Harry is definitely a good catch – i wonder if Lindsay Lohan would scratch Hayden’s eye out .. ?? since we all know how crazy she is of late.

Michael Jackson’s burial has been further delayed by five days because some family members did not want the pop star to be buried on what would have been his 51st birthday, a lawyer for the singer’s mother said on Friday.

Londell McMillan, attorney for mother Katherine Jackson, said there was a miscommunication within the family about the burial date, which had been set for August 29 but has been pushed back to September 3.

After a long absence from music, Whitney Houston is staging a much-hyped career comeback with an appearance on “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”

Houston will be Winfrey’s first guest as the talk-show queen launches her 24th season on Sept. 14. According to her website, Oprah.com, Winfrey calls Houston’s appearance “the most anticipated music interview of the decade.”

The 46-year-old superstar hasn’t done a major TV interview since 2002, when she addressed questions about her drug use from ABC’s Diane Sawyer.

Houston is releasing her new album, “I Look to You,” on Aug. 31.

She is one of the best-selling artists of all time, but her career stalled as she battled drugs and endured a troubled marriage to Bobby Brown.

There are just so many stories revolving MJ’s death.. and now the paternity of his children.  Looks like Mark Lester is the father of one of his kid – Paris.  He came forward to let the world know because after Debbie Rowe was awarded custody for MJ’s kids.. his emails weren’t answered, neither were his phone calls.  He was afraid.. that he might lose all touch with the kids, in which he claimed MJ wouldn’t have want that.
