I do not like to buy complicated things – all complicated things are for the spouse – and i can’t wait for him each time I want something right?  so i find things that I can fix and do it up myself which I find is the simplest.   Box for the birds is an easy way for you to have a bird house without screwdrivers, sawing and hammering them together.

There is a little cake shop that just opened in town – near my home and I had been to it’s cake tasting before it opened in the mall – and when I found out that she was opening her own store downtown I was quite excited because I loved sweets.  With some help from a small business equipment leasing  she was able to get the baking stove that she needed and with the help of another organization for the young women entrepreneurship – she was able to also buy a building that she is currently in.

Of course, like any new entrepreneur, she would be going thru’ some ups and downs in her small cake shop but I think she will do good if she continues to do what she is doing.  Thank God for all these help that she had gotten – because some financial institution in town is always asking for a lot in interest in repayment.  So I’m indeed happy for her – and wish her all the best – you really gotta admire all these people who are so brave to go into business in this economy – I for one wouldn’t be that brave.

Christmas decorations are up and the outside of our home are lighted up with Christmas decoration – now to prepare for the menu for the Christmas party.  And then to book raleigh carpet cleaning  for after the party for cleaning up the house – after all the celebrations. We can expect drinks on the carpet and people dropping food on the floor and anything that can dirty the carpets to happen during the Christmas party – so we are pretty smart this year and contacting our carpet cleaning company way ahead of time – so that they can come in as soon as they start work after their party too.  Last year – we didn’t book them in advance – so we had to wait for like a week – before they had an opening to clean our carpets – now that’s not good, for you and I know that the longer the stain stays on the carpet the harder it would be to get out.   So if you haven’t done your booking for carpet cleaning yet – do it quickly.

Lots of people that I know from this area had headed up to the city for the Canada got Talent show 2012, I know of some who is going to sit overnight at the designated spot so that they get in for an audition.   Some are very talented and have day time jobs but they want to be famous perhaps?   Many a times, I hear people tell the spouse how they wished they had his job or is their own boss but what they don’t know is that merchant financing is available for the right people.

And although they may not have singing talents or can do tap dancing or ballet – they certainly can try their hands on doing the next best thing – opening a music store? or even teaching people how to sing or tap dance or play the piano.   And many of these people who I know personally can definitely be more enterprising because there are small business loans that one can look into.  Unfortunately, a lot of people still continue to persue their dreams but refuses to be more creative.

So once in a while when I meet someone who has dreams enough to go all the way up to the city for an audition, I would definitely tell then about these small business loans they can look into.  But not everyone is the entrepreneurs they hope they would be – but it never hurts to try – especially when you are young and don’t have any liability.  If i could turn the clock back and I had options like a small business loan – I would definitely want to try.

I love golfing – and even though people think it is not a form of exercise – I beg to differ – it’s quite an exercise after you’ve gone for your morning golfing session.  And with golfers they are so easy to buy presents for – because you can find novelty golf gifts online and order it for them and they just get the joke – and they loved any golf gifts that you get for them.  Plus, they say that if you have friends who don’t play well at golf – and they turn nasty – the best thing to get them are novelty gifts – so that they know how you feel.  Lucky for me – all my golf friends are pretty awesome to play with.  I loved the custom golf balls I got my friends one year during Christmas – so if you are a golfer – give me a shout and i’ll tell you where you can get gifts for your golfing friends.

We recently received a wedding invite to a friend’s wedding this fall and was amused and impressed by their special invite.  A invite for any occasion is so important – and can sometimes play a very important part in us making a decision to attend the occasion or not.  Lets think about it – if you get an invite that was done without any detail at all – won’t you think that the party isn’t going to be something you would enjoy?  To me an invite is very important – it shows me how important the party is to the host – therefore, our yearly  Christmas Party Invitations are carefully selected and ordered way in advance – of course one have to send it out on time  – giving ample notice to the invitees to make plans – reschedule for babysitters etc.   So if I was invited to a Christmas party without a proper invitation card – I would never go – because there is only 2 reasons to it – first one – you weren’t in the list – and the second reason – has gotta be a random party – meaning random people will turn up – not going to be a tasteful party.  So folks – don’t forget to get your invites right – don’t make your friends think that they are not important.  Just my 2 cents worth.

If you come from the place I come from – you will understand why I love gold – while for other girls  – diamonds are their best friend – me – gold is much more valuable.   We’ve always been taught to buy gold when we were younger – because back home – the pawn shops only take gold and if you have a piece of gold and you needed money in a hurry -  Selling Gold Jewelry is easier than going to the bank for a loan.   I’ve got lots of old gold jewellery from when i was a kid – so now that I can’t wear them – I sell them at the best price and buy new ones.   Unlike home – you can get the best price for your gold – unless you know where to go sell your jewelry – and since all my gold jewelry is 22K – I want to make sure that I get the most out of it.   Not many people know the real value of old gold or almsot pure gold – so I’m glad I found Gold Fellow online.  So now I can sell my old gold and get new ones.

Summer is here and the spouse went shopping with the kids for a some  Nikon binoculars to go bird watching with them when he is home from work.  You see the youngest son – he loves nature and everything outdoors and he spends lots of time with his grandfather and uncles.  Every year – we say he is too young to get his own binoculars – but this year – the spouse said that he should get his own.  My youngest was really happy and proud that his father thinks that he is responsible enough to get his own binoculars – he even have a drawer space to store the new binoculars.  They are buying a Nikon one – because the spouse and his father  all has the Nikon brand of binoculars.   I think the bonding is great – so I agree to pay half for the binoculars for I encourage the spending time together with father and grandfather.  I’m so proud of all of them – for taking  time to spend time with the youngest.

Everytime I walk by our local electronic store – I have to stop and see what new gadgets they have – and I know that I get so intrigue by everything they carry and always end up wanting something new.  Take for example the  new black berry tablet – I watch the video below for it and when I saw it at the store for demo – I fell in love with it.  It is smaller than the iPad that my girlfriends have that I can carry it anywhere I want with me.  In fact, I told the spouse – having the blackberry playbook means that I don’t have to carry my laptop with me when I go on vacations – because I can surf the web and take pictures with it – and even do web-conferencing as well.   Of course, I can email too – and it acts as an address book and an organizer.  Gone are those days where the Palm was the latest thing – I cannot imagine that I would have paid close to $700 for the palm and the playbook is way less money with more capabilities.  Check out the you tube video yourself and you will agree with me.
