Matt Dillion is the hard ass detective in this movie – who tried to beat the mastermind of a series of bank robbery.  It’s a classic cop versus robber movie – and of course – the cop won. Plus the plot all seems so fake – like bombing a hole in the middle of a busy street and trying to get away.  I guess it’s watchable – I’ve seen worst – it’s more for the man – and it’s bearable for the ladies. Chris Brown is also in this movie.

The super villain Megamind finally conquers his nemesis, the hero Metro Man… but finds his life pointless without a hero to fight.   The voices of   Will Ferrell, Brat Pitt, Jonah Hill, Tina Fey, Ben Stiller and David Cross.  Yes! it’s animated and a family movie – I liked it – and so did the kids.  Watch it for a weekend show with the entire family – highly recommended.

Megamind is the most brilliant supervillain the world has ever known. And the least successful. Over the years, he has tried to conquer Metro City in every imaginable way. Each attempt, a colossal failure thanks to the caped superhero known as Metro Man , an invincible hero, until the day Megamind actually kills him in the throes of one of his botched evil plans.

Suddenly, Megamind has no purpose. A supervillain without a superhero. He realizes that achieving his life’s ambition is the worst thing that ever happened to him. Megamind decides that the only way out of his rut is to create a new hero opponent called Titan , who promises to be bigger, better and stronger than Metro Man ever was. Pretty quickly Titan starts to think it’s much more fun to be a villain than a good guy. Except Titan doesn’t just want to rule the world, he wants to destroy it.

Now, Megamind must decide: can he defeat his own diabolical creation? Can the world’s smartest man make the smart decision for once? Can the evil genius become the unlikely hero of his own story?

This movie was surprising a different kind of vampire show – the vampire is a young girl who is about 12 I think.  A young boy befriends the young gal – vampire and later ended up with being her guardian – because her former guardian died in the act of trying to keep her identity a secret.   A pretty good movie I must say – but lots of blood and you get to see the little girl vampire turn into an ugly creature and makes you wonder if there are vampires living amongst us.

If you watched Saw – The Final Chapter – well – you don’t need any suppressing appetite because the show is gross!!!  I couldn’t believed how much blood they had in the movie – and all the cutting of limbs and ears and eye lid and digging into the skin and trying to hang onto your body weight just with those sharp thing – man!!

This show is about the Jigsaw survivors – who gathered to seek support from a fellow survivor Bobby Degan but Bobby Dagen wasn’t a real survivor it seems – and even his poor wife was taken in by his story and self help book.   But the Jigsaw was out to get all of them – and outwitted even the cops in their own police station.  Anyhow, the movie is gross – so if you are trying to not eat or lose some weight – this show may just do it for some – else of course – you look for the real diet pills – or appetite suppressant – but this show did it for me.

So i watch this only yesterday – but I had been meaning to watch it earlier – but never got the chance.   Jennifer Aniston is one of my favorite actress – of course I had to support her.  But Jason Bateman?  well – I’m not too, too fond of him – he seems like a grouchy ex – that I would have dumped a long time ago.  Supposedly, a comedy – but it turned out neither really a comedy nor a chick flick – lots of controversy in this movie – didn’t know where it was all heading at first.

I do like the script about this 40 years old woman – taking the bull by its horn and getting inseminated and chose to be a single mom since she couldn’t find anyone to have a kid with.  But 7 yrs later – she seems to be in a real hurry to connect with the sperm donor and start a relationship with him.  Then of course, best friend Wally – didn’t even remember about switching the sperm during the insemination party – because he was supposedly so drunk.   Hard to believe eh – but it was an ok show – nothing spectacular – now would make you cry – just a bit frustrating at times – and make you wanna smack Wally.

We watched this during Christmas eve with the entire family – because it’s a family movie and who doesn’t love good old Shrek right?  So I heard that this will be the last Shrek?  Anyhow, this sequel is about  Rumpelstiltskin tricks a mid-life crisis burdened Shrek into allowing himself to be erased from existence and cast in a dark alternate timeline where Rumpel rules supreme.  Pretty funny show of course and definitely recommended.

The classic thing we do in our family during Christmas is to rent plenty of Christmas movies and watch it from sun up to sun down.  Every year – we have this family tradition – we laze around and do absolutely nothing till it is supper time and we head out to our parent’s in law for dinner at their place on Christmas day.

And there are just some Christmas movies that every love every year.  What is yours?  don’t prizes for guessing what are mine ! ho ! ho!  ho!

So if you won the nationwide lottery of $370 million – what would you do? will it change your life?  will your friends change?  will you abandon your old friends and look for the new – and the one girl who never bat an eyelid on you before you had money?  would Kevin Caron (Bow Wow) survive and come out a better person?  I do like the show – but it’s your typical black show – the yo – yo man show.

So what happened and what was the moral of the show?  that when one  wins the lottery – you can make a difference and no need to be an asshole.  Friends can be true and they not necessary are going for your money.  So what will you do if you won $370 million?  will you just leave and hop on a plane and travel the world or give to charity or start your own multi million company.  The sky is the limit i guess if you won so much money – but yes !  give something back and make a difference is what I too would do.  Yup watch the movie – but no need to cry if you didn’t.

A very interesting movie that I’ve just finished watching.  It’s about the founder of Facebook and I’m sure you all want to know more about it after all who isn’t on Facebook right.   Based on the true story of Mark the founder – his humble beginnings and what a weird boy he was.  He didn’t really have much friends and because of his multi million Facebook – I guess he had less friends from before.  But Mark is a billionaire and i hear is the youngest – so what if you have a few enemies right?  do watch it – it’s pretty interesting.

Love the show – although wasn’t what i really expected.  But it’s Nicolas cage – and I do love him – and his character as Master sorcerer is to defend New York city from his arch nemesis Maxim Horvath.   The Sorcerer’s Apprentice is a fantasy type movie I would say – since it’s a Walt Disney Pictures.  Parts of the story are loosely based on the Sorcerer’s Apprentice segment in Disney’s Fantasia, which in turn is based on the late 1890s symphonic poem.

Nicolas Cage plays Blake the sorcerer in modern-day Manhattan fighting against the forces of evil, in particular his arch-nemesis, Maxim Horvath, while searching for the person who will inherit Merlin’s powers. This turns out to be nerdy Dave Stutler – who looks nothing special nor has any special physique on him – too ordinary in my humble opinion.  A physics student in NYU, Balthazar takes him as his protege.  A crash course later – Dave brings science and magic together to stop Morgana from raising the dead and destroying the world.
