echelon-conspiracy

I had thought that this show was something like the tv series 24 but nope – it was more a thriller/drama.  Not a bad show but quite confusing and the ending well – lets just say wasn’t something I enjoyed.  But nevertheless a movie that can be watched with the entire family.

Max Peterson is a globe-trotting techno-whiz who installs security systems on computers. In the Czech Republic he receives an anonymous gift: a phone which sends messages that enable him to win at a casino. Max soon finds himself pursed by hit men, the casino’s security chief, and a CIA operative. Who’s sending Max messages? Previous recipients of similar windfalls have ended up dead. After a couple of close scrapes, Max realizes he’s in danger, so he tries to find out the root of the conspiracy – which seems to have access to every security camera in the world – before he’s the next victim. Why is this happening to him, and who can he trust?

Just finished watching this movie last nite and it’s not a chick flick if you are wondering.  This is somewhat of a comedy centered around four couples who settle into a tropical-island resort for a vacation. While one of the couples is there to work on the marriage, the others fail to realize that participation in the resort’s therapy sessions is not optional.  Children can watch the show too but i can assure you that they will find it really boring – my kid fell asleep immediately.

Watched this in the movies with the kid – and it’s a good movie for the kids of course but it’s good for bonding with your kids and a family outing.   In the sequel, Dave sends Alvin, Simon, and Theodore off to school, saying “it’s good for them.” Little did he know, the Chipmunks feel like “Chipmunks Out of Water” because of all the (human) kids around. Meanwhile, Ian (after the loss of the Chipmunks dealt him a serious blow) is freed from jail and searches the world for animals who can sing and dance. He happens upon the Chipettes and cannot wait to make them famous and get revenge on the Chipmunks. Yes, do watch it now – if it is still on the movies playing – there were some kids that i know who were in the theater with us that had already watched it.

Love Sandra Bullock – who doesn’t right? the movie started out quite bimbo-tic.. hahhaha!  but the second half of the movie got better.  Even though.. i feel it could have been better..  it’s not a bad movie at all.  Can be watched by everyone.. except for the very first part.. when Mary was all over Steve.. on their first date in the car.  The rest of the show is kid friendly.

Mary Horowitz is a cruciverbalist – a crossword puzzle constructor. Her brain spins at warp speed with an endless stream of arcane information. She can come up with the perfect word – and dozens with the same meaning – at a moment’s notice, but “normal” behavior eludes her. For Mary, nothing is typical, especially relationships. When she is set up on a blind date with handsome cable-news cameraman Steve, Mary thinks the chemistry is undeniable – that Steve is “the one.” Steve, on the other hand, thinks Mary is crazy. Mary, who just knows she’s found her soul mate, decides to do anything and go anywhere to be with him. She begins to pursue Steve relentlessly as he crisscrosses the country, covering breaking news stories. Mary’s escalating infatuation with Steve is encouraged by the self-serving actions of news reporter Hartman Hughes, who enjoys torturing his insolent cameraman at every opportunity. With Mary never far behind and Hartman urging her on, Steve becomes increasingly unhinged. But when Mary becomes embroiled in the news story of the year, Steve and Hartman begin to see her differently. Hartman is plagued by guilt, knowing his game of one-upmanship with Steve has placed her squarely in harms way, while Steve is feeling his own pangs of remorse at his callous behavior. Despite the media storm surrounding her, Mary with her upbeat, unaffected manner brings together a small community of new friends. And all who encounter Mary will realize that sometimes the ones who don’t fit in are the ones who really stand out.

Like any Eddie Murphy’s movie..  the whole family can watch it.. and not get too bored with it.  Everyone is happy .. and especially the kids.  Not too bad this movie..  and like i said.. it’s for just about every occasion.

A financial executive who can’t stop his career downspiral is invited into his daughter’s imaginary world, where solutions to his problems await.

A pretty lame movie..!! if it was not for Jennifer Garner.. i wouldn’t even have considered watching it.   I don’t like the acting of Ricky Gervais at all – to english for me.

Mark Bellison (Ricky Gervais) lives in a world just like our own, but no one lies there. Everyone is completely honest all the time. The first half of the movie shows Mark’s sad life a struggling loser, and how he is insulted by his completely honest coworkers, his Mom, and Anna (Jennifer Garner), his date. His Mom gets sick, and he makes up a story about an afterlife to help comfort his Mom on her deathbed. Doctors and nurses overhear him, and soon Mark becomes an international authority on the afterlife. People camp on his lawn to learn more. Mark develops a story about the “Man in the Sky,” who functions like God, and he pastes his theology on two pizza boxes like Moses and the ten commandments. Mark learns to lie to help his friends, get money at the bank, cheat at the casino, and eventually to win the affection of Anna.

A writer tries to juggle his career, his relationship with his daughter and his ex-girlfriend, as well as his appetite for beautiful women.

A 1950s-set comedy in which the glamorous Anne Deveraux (Zellweger) embarks on a drive down the Eastern Seaboard in a quixotic search for a wealthy man to fund a new life for her and her sons.

Brings me back to my childhood – i grew up watching shows like this one.  Pretty good movie.. very meaningful.  I know you will like it.  As for the boys.. i doubt they would.. afterall, my spouse couldn’t wait to escape.. from the 2nd part of the show.. hahha!!
