I think that being a star and having papparrazzi around every time you had a bad hair day would completely suck, and I imagine that pressure had a role in her drug use. I think it is sad that the dishevelled images of her sad last days are what everyone remembers. Hollywood glamour is not real life, and I think we all should take a good look in the mirror when WE wake up on a sunday morning and see how good we look. It is likely pretty close to the image you are showing…ie normal.

Bea Arthur has always been one of my favorite actresses. Rue, Betty, and Bea acted so well together they almost made you believe that they really were roommates. She will always be missed . She always dressed so wonderfully on the Golden Girls. She has given my husband and myself so much joy from her shows.
