Gonna watch this movie – on Tuesday – before it stops showing in the theaters – heard a lot of  good review about it – a being a real die hard fan for the show – how can i miss it right?

I finally had a chance to watch Sex and the City 2 over the weekend. As a long time SATC fan, I love the movie. As a wife, I love the movie even more. Yet the scene that moved me the most was actually about motherhood – when Charlotte and Miranda bonded over motherhood – through cocktails! I thought the lines for that scene was beautifully written. As a loyal fan, I am happy to see how SATC had matured. Well done, Michael Patrick King!

I don’t even know why I didn’t watch this any earlier – because we’ve had this movie for a long time now. Sigourney Weaver is in this movie and she usually doesn’t disappoint no matter what kind of movie she is in.  Story revolves around a mother who was with her daughter – 3 years old and she disappeared right in front of her.  She had just turned around for a second while in the park to pack up for home and she was gone – i can just imagine how panicky i would have been if it was I. I think this movie touched a very sentimental part deep down inside because I have a kid too around that age.

Of course, like any mother it was hard to get over the lost – not knowing and worrying about your child – is she dead? was she rape – so many things must have gone thru’ a mother’s mind.  Anyhow – this show fast forward 15 yrs later – showing the son getting married and Sigourney Weaver still not being able to get on with her life and suddenly a girl appear and fit the description of her long lost daughter – Maggie.

A very good show and everyone can and should watch it and not take things too likely and let your children out of sight for a minute.

So Season 4 of Burn Notice started and to think that I started watching this show because i was doing a review on this show for an advertiser.  Funnily, I wouldn’t have even watched this kind of sitcom if it wasn’t because of the review I did and now after 4 yrs – i am still watching the show.

This season started with Michael coming out of being burned by the CIA – but in the end he burned someone else – just because he wanted to get out of being burned?  so what will Michael do to undo it?  knowing him – he would.  He and Fiona’s relationship is the same and Sam his best friend is still around.  So lets see if Michael gets anywhere in this season and it was sad when he explained to his mom why he went missing.

Truth be told – i usually won’t watch nerdy shows like this one – i mean look at how nerdy the guy looked right?   I don’t recognise Molly (Alice Eve)  nor Kirkie (Jay Baruchel) in the show – but the storyline wasn’t too, too believable – because dear Kirkie may be nice but he definitely doesn’t have the looks nor the money.  So for such a hot gal, smart and rich gal to fall for the likes of Kirkie – well highly unlikely in real life.

But in this show- Kirkie seems to win the perfect woman that everyone wants and the only thing keeping him away from this Perfect 10 was his low self esteem – and the only “flaw” Molly had was her webby toes – which was kinda kooky – but overall – it was an ok show to watch – kinda funny – kinda gross and kinda gives the average guy some hope in this imperfect world.  So go right ahead and get the DVD  – it will be worth your money for sure.

Jackie Chan!! woohoo! how can one miss this show eh !!  Out on DVD  only this Tuesday – truth be told – i didn’t know about this show at all.  Anyhow,   Bob Ho, a Chinese spy working with the CIA to stop a man named Poldark. He’s been posing as an importer and has been dating his neighbor, Gillian, a single mother with 3 children. When Bob captures Poldark, he retires from the spy game. He wants to make a commitment to Gillian but her children are not exactly warming up to him. When Gillian has to go out of town Bob offers to take care of the kids while she’s away, which proves to be no easy task. At the same time, Poldark somehow escapes. It’s apparent that some in the Agency helped him. At the same time Colton one of Bob’s associates at the CIA asks him to look at something that Poldark had on him that appears to encrypted, hoping he can crack it.When the children break into his home to see what they can find out about him, they find the file and download it. And when they try to open it, Poldark tracks it down and sends his people to take care of Ho. Bob manages to deal with them and then takes the children and goes on the run.

Meg Ryan was the only reason i even looked at this movie – apparently it was from 2009 – so it isn’t new, new if you know what i meant.   But it turned out to be pretty hilarious and a funny ending to the show.

Louise (Meg Ryan), a high-powered Manhattan lawyer, is touched when she arrives for the weekend to her family’s upstate getaway to find it strewn with rose petals by her husband of 13 years, Ian (Timothy Hutton). Unfortunately . . . Ian is not expecting Louise, rather his much younger girlfriend (Kristen Bell). In fact, he’s actually in the process of writing Louise a letter explaining his intention to leave her for good. An oddly cool Louise has other plans. She takes Ian captive, refusing to release him until he commits to working on their marriage together. When Ian’s impatient mistress shows up, not to mention an opportunistic gardener (Justin Long), things start to get seriously complicated. Not merely a war of the sexes, SERIOUS MOONLIGHT is a story of a war of the wills as Ian tries to talk his way out of the situation.

Good actors – John Travolta and Robin Williams – definitely a must watch!   Charlie and Dan have been best friends and business partners for thirty years; their Manhattan public relations firm is on the verge of a huge business deal with a Japanese company. With two weeks to sew up the contract, Dan gets a surprise: a woman he married on a drunken impulse nearly nine years before (annulled the next day) shows up to tell him he’s the father of her twins, now seven, and she’ll be in jail for 14 days for a political protest. Dan volunteers to keep the tykes, although he’s up tight and clueless. With Charlie’s help is there any way they can be dad and uncle, meet the kids’ expectations, and still land the account?

I really liked this movie – it’s part comedy but it’s also serious business  about  three middle-age guards learn that their museum has sold a wing of art to a Danish museum. Each has a favorite in that collection, and none can imagine life without the peace and completion it brings. Though mere acquaintances, they plot a theft of the three pieces between the time they are packed and the time they’re loaded onto a plane. First each must obtain a forgery; then, they have to smuggle the forgeries into the museum and find a way to make the switches. The heist is complicated by Roger’s intrusive wife – he’s promised her a trip to Florida for their anniversary – and George’s proclivity for taking his clothes off when standing in front of the warrior statue he loves.  Must watch!

I didn’t think i was going to watch this show – but as it turned out – it was a pretty good movie too.  Some may think that the show is pretty far fetched but with the government – we all know anything is possible.  This shows  brings together the end of the world and government conspiracy in a way not particularly explored before. It also, I must imagine, breaks the record for how many people die in a film. Unfortunately, this is pretty well where the positive discussion of the film ends, and hopefully, you didn’t realize it had begun.

Our story begins a few years ago with the discovery that the sun is starting to do weird things, and the short version of the story is that there isn’t much time left until the Earth starts going through a monumentally unhappy time. The world is, more or less, going to end. The governments of the world are notified, and the politicians begin planning their plans. A key part of their plan is to make sure no one finds out.
